Insouciant Studios "Desert Ocean" earrings, Part of the Natural History Collection. These dangle earrings are handmade from genuine fossil ammonites. These earrings feature two lovely Straparollus catilloides ammonite fossils on 14k rose gold filled Earwires & hand twisted 14k rose gold filled wire, accented with lovely faceted citrine stones and faceted mystic quartz rondells.
These fossil ammonites are classified as Straparollus catilloides, sometimes also seen as Amphiscaphe catilloides. They are from the Pleasanton Formation in Orrick, Missouri, and date to the Pennsylvanian period.
