Selenite Gypsum Rose Multi Specimen
Nice Gypsum Rose Double Specimens and Clusters
Gypsum is the mineral calcium sulfate dihydrate, CaSO4 * 2 H2O, a hydrous evaporite mineral. These little roses, also called desert roses or selenite roses, show great intersecting tabular crystals. Gypsum is used in the manufacture of sheetrock or wall board, paper, glass, and ceramics.
Selenite is a very clean, translucent crystalline variety of gypsum, while alabaster is a massive variety of the same mineral.
These are neat double roses-- two or more grown together.
All sizes are available drilled for beading, as well.
